North Korea, with the help of Russian scientists, is developing an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) bomb that sends out an electromagnetic field when it explodes and damages electronic devices in the vicinity of the explosion, JoongAng Ilbo reported Sept. 2, citing a South Korean military source. The source said the North Koreans might be near completion on the creation of EMP bombs.
