I am, I admit a lover of pulp era fiction...R.E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, etc.
Lovecraftian mythos are by far soem of the most strange and exciting...and disturbing mythos I've ever read of...thank the great Cthulu they're fictional...LOL.

Al Doura, Baghdad — As I step out of the humvee into the street, I have two facts in mind: I’ve been here before; and this time, I don’t have a weapon.
Recalling the tension of my first patrol in this neighborhood as a platoon leader, my five senses are sharp. The dusty road below greets my boots, some of the smells are eerily familiar, and the sound of idling humvees is my only comfort. My head swivels to scan the street. My hands are naked without an M-4, so I find the nearest soldier.
Soon — as a young child approaches — the wary familiarity gives way to fascination. I may be in the same geographic location, but I’m not in the same neighborhood. This is not Al Doura, at least not as I knew it. Where did all these people and shops come from? Where is all the trash, and the open sewage? Where is the fear — the deep-seated fear?

National Guard to be pulled from border patrol

Well, this is the first I've heard of this....I'm sure it will not be the last.
It seems the Feds are pulling the Nat'l Guard off of Border duty 6 months early and there is no one to replace them in their current role until December leaving a 6 month breach in Border security...the area most affected is expected to be the southern border of New Mexico.

a) I did myself, and either got in trouble or commended. (I had a Major shake my hand for the piss bottle thing, for instance.)
b) I witnessed another soldier do it. (Like the Sergeant we had, that basically went insane, and crucified some dead mice.)
c) Was spontaneously informed I was not allowed to do. (Like start a porn studio.)
d) Was the result of a clarification of the above. (“What about especially patriotic porn?”)
e) I was just minding my own business, when something happened. (“Schwarz…what is *that*?” said the Sgt, as he pointed to the back of my car? “Um….a rubber sheep…I can explain why that’s there….”)

To explain how I’ve stayed out of jail/alive/not beaten up too badly….. I’m funny, so they let me live.

The 213 Things….

1. Not allowed to watch Southpark when I’m supposed to be working.
2. My proper military title is “Specialist Schwarz” not “Princess Anastasia”.
3. Not allowed to threaten anyone with black magic.
4. Not allowed to challenge anyone’s disbelief of black magic by asking for hair.
5. Not allowed to get silicone breast implants.
6. Not allowed to play “Pulp Fiction” with a suction-cup dart pistol and any officer.
7. Not allowed to add “In accordance with the prophesy” to the end of answers I give to a question an officer asks me.
8. Not allowed to add pictures of officers I don’t like to War Criminal posters.
9. Not allowed to title any product “Get Over it”.
10. Not allowed to purchase anyone’s soul on government time.
11. Not allowed to join the Communist Party.
12. Not allowed to join any militia.
13. Not allowed to form any militia.
14. Not allowed out of my office when the president visited Sarajevo.
15. Not allowed to train adopted stray dogs to “Sic Brass!”
16. Must get a haircut even if it tampers with my “Samson like powers”.
17. God may not contradict any of my orders.
18. May no longer perform my now (in)famous “Barbie Girl Dance” while on duty.
19. May not call any officers immoral, untrustworthy, lying, slime, even if I’m right.
20. Must not taunt the French any more.
21. Must attempt to not antagonize SAS.
22. Must never call an SAS a “Wanker”.
23. Must never ask anyone who outranks me if they’ve been smoking crack.
24. Must not tell any officer that I am smarter than they are, especially if it’s true.
25. Never confuse a Dutch soldier for a French one.

Damn Dhimmicrats...

Y'know, I'm a bit worried about the next presidential election.

As most of us conservatives ought to be.


I get some emails from some organisations that are of a liberal bent and when i initially opted to get these emails, I was all about clicking a button to help raise money for endangered species and whatnot. General do-good, feel-good type stuff.


I've been noticing lately that the emails I've been getting from these organizations has been more radically liberal.


This disturbs me. I don't mind people voicing their opinions, don't get me wrong, but the tactics are pretty underhanded. You figure most people want to do good. But realizing that what someone in an organization is asking you to do is not necessarily a good thing when you associate them with do-good type stuff,...that's the issue I'm having. I know alot of people don't follow politics like they ought to, but that's their choice. the Libs are targeting those folks and I'm having a hard time reconciling that.


for example. I get an email from Care2. Now these folks are becoming much more blatant about their liberal bent when they are petitioning to get behind the democrats in '08. Because...

Guitar Heroes

I Saw this Dispatch over at Michael Yon and I just had to post about it. The article is a grand tribute to the work of the 4/6 CAV over in Iraq.
And to my little brother Nathan who is over there providing Avionics support to those guys...This is an article you should read. I'm not sure if you really know what those pilots do, I know I had no idea the gritty dangerous combat situations these guys (and gals) do.

For those of you who read my blog...and I know there aren't a whole lot of you, Michael Yon is an independent journalist that specializes in reporting on the War on Terror. He has done a hell of a job getting in the dirt with the troops...both US and foreign to give as accurate of a prtrayal of this war from the soldier's perspective. His Blog is a must read if you even have half a care for the folks directly involved in this war.

The American Totem

This is a great article by Gunslinger. It is a good reminder to us what it means to have rights...they are granted by God. Period.

We might want to start by explaining the concept of Rights:


~That Rights are not granted by the State.
~That Rights are not granted by the Constitution.
~That Rights are the God-given natural inheritance of all men.
~That the purpose of the Constitution was not to grant Rights to individual, but to limit
the power of government so that the inherent Rights of individuals are not violated.
~The Constitution is not a finite list of individual Rights. It is a finite list of governmental
powers.
~The Constitution grants certain powers to government in specific, limited, conditional
circumstances with the consent of the governed!


The Constitution does not require that an individual Right be found written within it to exist. To wit:


Amendment 9: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
This is not an amendment the Socialists (Liberals) or the Elite want anyone to remember at all.

This article really brings to light the vast differences in secular western thought over that of the middle eastern (islamic) thought. It also brings into the spotlight the obvious...at least to those who think about Rules of Engagement with these terrorists. In this enemy we see a distinctive lack of designated military personal. Everyone is a soldier in Alllah's Army. The traditional notion that Holy Men are not to be targets of military aggression is called into question now as well. With the Islamic clerics actively pushing their followers to die in the cause of Islam...are they not just as guilty as the the actual perpetrators?

A Boring Tattoo....


This little "cartoon" was sent to me in a chain email. I appreciate the motive behind the chain but I am offended on a personal level by such things. I hate it when someone tries to guilt me into spamming someone, no matter how good a message it has in it.

That being said. I am going to post this and the commentary, minus the chain(send this to "x" number of people thing.

Here is the commentary:

This is a great rant concerning the unconstitutional restriction on CCW permits in the red states in the map above.

With the number of shooting incidents by deranged individuals, the issue of gun control is of course going to rear it's ugly head.

The Church shooting in Colorado is a PRIME example of why citizens should retain these rights to self-protection.

S.2619 and H.R.5434

Ok folks...these 2 bills apparently are good thing. Seems our congreesmen and senators are going to vote on whether we citizens can carry loaded weapons in our national parks.

Now, I would never have known about this if I hadn't gotten an email from the NPCA. That's the National Parks Conservation Asociation. Yep, There's a closet treehugger in here somewhere...hahaha. No, seriously though. I love the outdoors and I'm all for conservation of our natural habitats...to an extent.

I've been meaning to blog about this for a while, but real life has a tendency to put a dent in my blogging.

Anywho. The NPCA is actively opposing this legislature. I think those of us that value our rights need to pay attention.

Time permitting I will try to keep up on this legislature. Write your senators and congressmen and let them know we citizens support this legislation.

The opposition is claiming that allowing people to cary loaded weapons in National Parks will increase the level of poaching and crime. Yeah...like the folks commiting crimes give a shit about any bill passed in congress or the senate.
